Privacy Policy

Effective 14 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Tapricot (“we”, “us”) handles information in connection with our mobile apps and the website at tapricot.app.

We're an indie studio and we like privacy. Our apps are offline-first: they work without an account and keep your data on your device wherever possible. We collect as little as we can to run the apps and keep the lights on.

Who is responsible for your data

Tapricot is a brand operated by Alyco Invest AS, a company registered in Norway, which is the data controller responsible for your personal data. For any privacy question or request, contact us at hello@tapricot.app.

The short version

  • No account is required to use our apps.
  • Gameplay and settings are stored on your device, not on our servers.
  • Our website sets no tracking cookies and shows no cookie banner.
  • Free apps may show ads; you can remove them with a one-time purchase.
  • We never sell your personal data.

Information we collect

On this website

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first, cookieless analytics service. It gives us aggregate, anonymous traffic figures (such as page views and rough referrers). It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint you, and does not track you across sites — which is why this site needs no cookie-consent banner. We don't run any advertising or third-party tracking scripts on the website.

In our apps

Depending on the app and how you use it, the following may apply:

  • On-device data. Your progress, stats and preferences are stored locally on your device. Deleting the app removes this data.
  • Advertising data. Free apps may display ads. Checkout Coach uses Google AdMob (Google's mobile advertising network). To serve ads, AdMob may process limited device information — such as a mobile advertising identifier, coarse device and network data, and an IP address — as described in how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the AdMob data disclosures. Where required, you'll be asked to consent to personalised ads, and you can change this in your device settings.
  • Purchases. The optional one-time “remove ads” purchase is handled by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We receive confirmation that a purchase was made, but we never see your full payment details.
  • Diagnostics / analytics. We do not use any third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDK in Checkout Coach. If this changes for a future app, we'll update this policy and name the provider in the app-specific section below.

How we use information

  • To provide and maintain the apps and website.
  • To show and (if you pay to remove them) stop showing ads.
  • To process and restore your purchases.
  • To diagnose problems and improve the apps.
  • To respond when you contact us for support.

Legal bases (EEA/UK)

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the app you chose to use), legitimate interests (keeping the apps secure, diagnosing issues, and basic ad-supported operation), and consent where required for personalised advertising — in which case you'll be asked in-app and can change your mind in your device settings.

Sharing

We don't sell your personal data. We share limited information only with the service providers needed to run the apps:

  • Apple and Google for app distribution and purchases.
  • Cloudflare for website hosting, email routing and analytics.
  • Google AdMob for serving ads in our free apps, per Google's advertising policies.

Data retention

On-device data stays until you delete it or remove the app. Aggregate website analytics are retained by Cloudflare on our behalf for a limited period. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to help you and keep a basic record.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email hello@tapricot.app and we'll respond. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

Children

Our apps are intended for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.

International transfers

Our service providers may process data in countries outside your own. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the providers' standard contractual clauses).
